MMA veteran Nate Diaz has confirmed his interest in running back his iconic rivalry with Conor McGregor in the future.

When you talk about fan favorites in the world of mixed martial arts, Nate Diaz is certainly up there with the best of them. He has achieved some great things throughout the course of his career, and this weekend, he will attempt to add further to his legacy when he squares off with Mike Perry in a fascinating contest as part of the first ever MVP MMA event.

Alas, Diaz’s one true rival in this sport will always be Conor McGregor, with the two splitting their two-fight series 1-1 ten years ago. Everyone has been clamoring to see them run it back for a third time, but the stars haven’t quite aligned.

For Diaz, though, this is a feud that is still very much ongoing, and he wants to make it happen.

Diaz discusses possible McGregor trilogy fight

“F*ck no [I’m not done with Conor McGregor], that’s just waiting to happen,” Diaz told MMA Fighting. “What I’m saying, I’m a real fighter. Conor McGregor, he’s f*cking still good, he’s still great. He’s f*cking everything he says he is and what UFC says and all that. But I’m not going to let him f*cking test that out on me. I’m not trying to be part of this f*cking Conor McGregor comeback motherf*cking story.

“I don’t want to finish him off. Why don’t you come back and do your thing and when you’re doing your thing and I’m doing my thing then we’ll have our f*cking [trilogy] that you owe me from a long time ago anyway. I think about it like a f*cking bully. What are you going to do? Go fight the guy who got his leg broke off? Nah, let him make his comeback and do his thing and then go beat his ass.”
