Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayNate Diaz has issued his first statement following his TKO loss to Mike Perry in his return to MMA.
Diaz suffered a stoppage loss to Perry at MVP MMA earlier this month. Diaz struggled from the get-go, as Perry was able to land the more damaging shots, and due to the damage on his face, the fight was stopped after the second round.
Now, a week and a half after the loss, Diaz took to Instagram to issue a statement on the loss and vowed to come back stronger.
“I wasn’t happy with my inactivity, but a lack of opponents will do that. It was easy to get up for me in this fight. Now I think it’ll be even easier to get up for him. Either way, shoutout to Mike on the win and for getting me off my ass. Now I’ve got a target. Hunting season. Take the motherfucker out,” Diaz wrote on Instagram.
It’s clear that Diaz isn’t done fighting after his latest loss and believes he can avenge the loss to Perry in his next fight. Perry, meanwhile, also had a sarcastic reply in the comment section.
“Yeah, good fight Nate. I was starting to get tired man thank goodness they stopped it,” Perry wrote.
MVP wants Nate Diaz vs. Mike Perry rematch
Although the Diaz vs. Perry fight was one-sided, MVP said after the event that they would be interested in a rematch.
“We have a rematch in the works with Mike Perry and Nate Diaz, which makes a lot of sense,” MVP’s Nakisa Bidarian said at the post-fight press conference.
Jake Paul also expressed interest in a rematch immediately after the fight, and felt like it should take place in Sacramento, California.
Nate Diaz is 21-14 in MMA following the loss to Perry. Before that, he scored a submission win over Tony Ferguson in his final UFC fight.
