Nassourdine Imavov has sent an ominous warning to Sean Strickland as the two look set to be on a collision course for a potential title fight.
Earlier today, Imavov took a page out of Conor McGregor’s book and replied to Strickland’s tweet, where he had provided an update on his shoulder, while also taunting Khamzat Chimaev.

I’m not gonna respond every time that drunk opens his mouth. Real MMA fans know. @ufc knows. HE KNOWS! Keep the act going. When the official date drops, you’ll all know. Nobody escapes their destiny.

Sean Strickland and Nassourdine Imavov Fought Once back in January 2023
Sean Strickland and Nassourdine Imavov might be on course for a title fight, but they have already fought once. It was on the 14th of January, 2023, in what was a Fight Night main event. However, it was contested as a light heavyweight bout.
Strickland earned a unanimous decision win, scoring 49–46, 49–46, 48–47, on the judges’ scorecards. That was Imavov’s last loss in the UFC before he went on an impressive five-fight winning streak that included wins over veterans like Israel Adesanya and Jared Cannonier.

However, in his first title defense, he faltered against Dricus Du Plessis before going on to lose the rematch as well.
A Du Plessis loss against Khamzat Chimaev opened the path for yet another title shot for Strickland, which he used to perfection at UFC 328.
