Nando De Colo has announced his retirement from professional basketball, ending one of the most successful careers in European basketball history.

The 39-year-old French guard finished on a high note, helping Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul win a third consecutive Turkish League title.

After his final game, De Colo expressed his happiness at ending his career with the Turkish club.

“Fenerbahce is very special to me. I’m very happy to finish my career at this club as a champion,” De Colo told beIN Sports Turkiye after the game.

He also confirmed that the championship game was the last of his playing career.

“Today was my last day as a basketball player. However, basketball never ends for me. One story ends, another begins.”

De Colo returned to Fenerbahce in January for a second stint after previously playing for the club between 2019 and 2022. Before that, he spent two seasons with ASVEL.

A two-time EuroLeague champion and the 2016 EuroLeague MVP, De Colo retires as one of the competition’s all-time greats.

He holds the EuroLeague records for free-throw percentage (93.5%) and free throws made (1,275), while ranking second in career points (5,193) and Performance Index Rating (5,873).

Over 13 EuroLeague seasons, he played for Valencia Basket, CSKA Moscow, Fenerbahce, and ASVEL.

He won EuroLeague titles with CSKA in 2016 and 2019 and was named to the EuroLeague 25th Anniversary Team in 2025.

With France, De Colo won EuroBasket gold in 2013 and earned two Olympic silver medals among six medals at major international competitions.
