There is an argument to be made that MLB is full of more young stars than it ever has been. 

That point will be further proven during Tuesday's MLB All-Star Game when starting lineups are finalized and the cleanup hitters for each league make history.

Youngest cleanup duo of all-time

Tampa Bay Rays third baseman Junior Caminero and Washington Nationals shortstop CJ Abrams are each in the No. 4 spot in the batting order and will make history when the game becomes official.

At a combined age of just 48 years and 293 days old, Caminero and Abrams will become the youngest duo to bat cleanup in an All-Star Game of all-time, surpassing the previous youngest of Ken Boyer and Mickey Mantle (49 years, 316 days) in 1956.

In a year where the fan voting system may have cost some players an opportunity to start in the ASG, Caminero and Abrams are clearly the best options at their positions.

Caminero leads all qualified AL third basemen in home runs, total bases, on-base percentage, slugging percentage, OPS and WAR. Abrams has had much of the same success, leading all qualified NL shortstops in home runs, RBI and slugging percentage. 

It's been a career year for both players and they were awarded with being selected as All-Star Game starters. With the surplus of young talent in the league, it'll be intriguing to see how long the record set by Caminero and Abrams will stand.
