Major League Baseball's best team by record keeps winning, as the Atlanta Braves picked up their league-leading 14th series win of the season on Thursday night. 

The Braves' series-clinching win was also fueled by a multi-homer performance. 

Center fielder Michael Harris II went yard twice in Atlanta's 9-3 win over the Miami Marlins, allowing the Braves to win the series and rebound after suffering an uncharacteristic 12-0 defeat in the opener on Monday. 

Michael Harris' two-homer game led the way for the Braves 

Harris hit his first of his two home runs in the game in his first at-bat, rocketing a 1-2 pitch to the deepest part of Miami's loanDepot Park. A two-run shot, Harris put the Braves out in front for good in the first inning. 

He would then blast an unnecessary insurance run with a solo home run in the top of the ninth.

Harris' two home runs were his only hits of the day, going 2-for-5 with three RBI and two runs scored. 

Harris' bat is one of the reasons the Braves own MLB's top record at 35-16. Harris is on a pace to put together the most productive season of his five-year career.

Harris is on pace to set new career highs  

After recording career highs with 20 home runs and 86 RBI in 2025, Harris already has 11 home runs and 29 RBI in 48 games and 168 at-bats on the year. 

Harris' hot start to the season extends to his slash line, too. A career .275 hitter who only registered a .248 batting average last season, Harris is currently hitting just shy of the .300 benchmark at .298 with a .324 OBP and a .524 slug. 

Looking to continue their winning ways, Harris and the Braves will now pivot to their next matchup, a three-game set with another National League East rival when they return home to host the Washington Nationals on Friday night. First pitch between the Braves and third-place Nationals is set for 7:15 p.m. ET from Truist Park in Atlanta.
