Megan Olivi, Conor McGregor

Megan Olivi had the opportunity to interview former UFC double champ Conor McGregor. After speaking with “The Notorious” and watching him train, she is confident that McGregor has put in the necessary work to return to winning ways on July 11.

McGregor will return to action next weekend in the main event of UFC 329 to run it back with Max Holloway. The Irishman was out of the octagon for nearly five years after he broke his leg during his trilogy bout with Dustin Poirier in 2021. Despite the long layoff, McGregor is confident that he will demonstrate to Holloway on fight night that they are not on the same level.

While “Blessed” has promised to take McGregor into deep waters and drown him at UFC 329, the 37-year-old has vowed to bounce back spectacularly by completely demolishing Holloway.

Now, Megan Olivi has given her two cents on why she believes fans will get to watch the “old-school” Conor McGregor on July 11.

Megan Olivi Sees Signs of the “Old-School” Conor McGregor Ahead of UFC 329

Conor McGregor has kept most of his training footage under wraps and has made only a handful of interview appearances. He remains locked in and fully focused on his return. The Irishman is eating, sleeping, training, and living in the gym before the Max Holloway rematch.

Megan Olivi had the opportunity to sit down with the Irishman in Dublin for filming a new episode of Becoming a Fighter. After the interview, the UFC host is confident fans can expect the old-school McGregor on July 11. She recently told MMA Junkie:

“I went to Dublin right before the UFC White House show, and I think we can expect to see an old school Conor McGregor in terms of his confidence, and Mystic Mac and who he presents in the press conference. And I do think he took training really seriously for this one. I am greatly looking forward to this fight between him and Max at 170 [pounds]. To be honest, I don’t really know who the weight class benefits more.” [h/t: MMA Junkie]

The American reporter’s comments suggest McGregor is not returning simply for the sake of it but to accomplish big things, and the hard work and tough preparation are evident in his physical condition.
