Mark Williams underwent surgery on Thursday to repair a torn labrum in his left shoulder and will miss an extended period. Williams suffered the injury during an offseason workout.

Williams signed a three-year, $38 million deal with the Suns in the offseason.

Williams appeared in 60 games with the Suns in his age 23 season, averaging 11.7 points and 8.0 rebounds in 23.6 minutes.

The Suns also have Khaman Maluach and Oso Ighodaro on their depth chart at center.
