Leeds United could have an extremely busy end to the transfer window, with the Whites looking at adding as many as five more signings alongside a pending club-record deal for goalkeeper James Trafford.

The 49ers Enterprises have overseen a productive transfer window so far ahead of their second successive campaign in the Premier League.

Leeds have completed the signings of attacker Harry Wilson and centre-back Tarik Muharemovic, adding proven Premier League quality in attack and an exciting left-footed option in central defence following Pascal Struijk's exit.

In recent weeks, the club have been working on a huge deal for Manchester City goalkeeper Trafford. The Englishman appears to be close to sealing a £40m move from the Etihad, becoming Leeds' new No.1 goalkeeper and most expensive signing in the process.

However, Leeds' business may be far from complete.

According to Sky Sports reporter Zinny Boswell, the Whites are still targeting reinforcements in five different areas before the deadline.

A backup goalkeeper to Trafford, a wide attacking midfielder, a central midfielder, a full-back and potentially another striker are on the to-do list for Leeds and the 49ers between now and September 1.

Perhaps the biggest priority now is the final third. Leeds spent much of the summer looking at free agent Julian Brandt, believing the experienced German could provide the creativity needed after promotion. However, with Ajax landing the attacking midfielder’s services, Farke and the 49ers have to turn their attention towards alternative marquee options.

Wilson brings quality and experience, but Leeds are arguably still short of another elite creator capable of consistently unlocking Premier League defences.

A wide attacking midfielder who can contribute goals and assists would ease the burden on the club's existing forwards and give Farke greater tactical flexibility.

Previous target Igor Paixao has been linked in recent days, and he enjoyed a relatively successful first season with Marseille in 2025/26. A total of 12 goals and seven assists in 42 games in France, Paixao could be an ideal wide or central creative option to rival the likes of Wilson, Okafor, Brenden Aaronson and co, providing supply for Dominic Calvert-Lewin and potentially another new centre-forward.

Meanwhile, another versatile full-back, just like James Justin, could prove invaluable to cover for Gabriel Gudmundsson on the left. A back-up keeper to complete the trio with Trafford and Alex Cairns also makes perfect sense.

Then finally, a central midfielder to bolster the department which currently has Ethan Ampadu, Ao Tanaka, Sean Longstaff, Anton Stach and Ilia Gruev could see fans viewing it as a perfect window, and Leeds may want that midfielder to be the heavily linked Shea Charles.
