LeBron James said he has been highly impressed by the recent playoff success of the New York Knicks, particularly the team’s improved offensive versatility.

Speaking on the “Mind the Game” podcast, James explained that New York’s offense has become far less predictable compared to previous seasons.

“The defense can’t just key on a couple of actions anymore,” the player said.

According to James, the Knicks previously relied heavily on isolations and pick-and-roll sets involving Jalen Brunson, making their offensive approach easier to anticipate.

“I thought over the last couple of years with New York, you kind of got a good rhythm of how they were gonna play,” he said. “The ball was gonna end up in a certain way every single time.”

James added that using Karl-Anthony Towns more prominently within the offense has helped create better opportunities across the floor for the rest of the roster.
