The Los Angeles Lakers have interest in trading for center Yves Missi of the New Orleans Pelicans. To this point, the Pelicans have resisted trading Missi. It's unclear what the cost for New Orleans to move Missi is, but they've set high prices for most of their players entering the offseason.

Missi fits the archetype center that Los Angeles has been looking for. The Lakers want a rim-running lob threat to pair with Luka Doncic in the pick-and-roll game. Ideally, that same player will be a solid rebounder and rim protector, as well. Missi would seem to fit that mold. In addition, the 22-year-old big man still has two seasons remaining on his rookie scale contract.
