The New York Knicks have waived guard Bruce Brown. That waiver puts center James Wiseman in line to make the opening roster for the Knicks.

New York had looked for trades that would open a roster spot that would have allowed them to keep Brown. To this point, with Brown's contract set to start incurring a per-day cap hit, the Knicks are waiving him. If a roster spot opens before opening night, or early in the season, Brown could be brought back.

Wiseman will give the Knicks additional center depth behind Karl-Anthony Towns and Andre Drummond.
