The Sacramento Kings waived guard Elfrid Payton and Tristen Newton and center Viktor Lakhin. Payton, Newton and Lakhin had all been signed to non-guaranteed camp contracts. Newton and Lakhin are expected to join the Stockton Kings for the G League season. Payton's deal did not include and Exhibit 10, so it's unclear what his plans are for the upcoming season.

The Kings roster now stands in compliance for the regular season. Sacramento has 14 players signed to standard contracts and three players signed to two-way contract. The Kings appears to be set to carry an open standard roster spot into the regular season.
