King Green absorbed a ton of damage and a lot of adversity before stopping Terrance McKinney earlier tonight at UFC 329.
McKinney came out fast and furious, overwhelming Green with relentless pressure from the opening bell. The UFC veteran was forced onto the back foot and was getting pieced up with nonstop combinations and body shots. McKinney also stunned Green several times at UFC 329, but a bloodied-up King Green was still game to fight with his hands down.
McKinney then managed to secure a takedown but failed to sink in the rear-naked choke. Once Green escaped, he landed a crushing liver shot that dropped McKinney and made the latter curl up in pain.
Green then unloaded heavy punches from the back position, forcing the ref to step in and stop the lightweight contest just before the bell could save the 31-year-old.
Official decision: King Green defeats Terrance McKinney via TKO: Round 1, (4:59)
With the UFC 329 victory, Green extended his winning streak to four. The 39-year-old, who has already fought thrice this year, wants to enter the octagon once more in September, as he said during the octagon interview with Joe Rogan.
