Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayThe Denver Nuggets remain on track to officially acquire Jonas Valanciunas from the Sacramento Kings. Valanciunas has received interest to play in Greece, but the Nuggets have remained adamant that he is under contract for them during the 2025-26 season with a guaranteed amount of $10.4 million.
However, the Nuggets have not guaranteed the $10 million on the contract of Valanciunas for the 2026-27 season. Valanciunas signed a three-year, $30.3 million contract with the Washington Wizards during the 2024 offseason. The Wizards subsequently traded Valanciunas to the Kings at the trade deadline before he was moved this offseason to the Nuggets for Dario Saric.
Valanciunas, who would slot into Denver's backup center role behind Nikola Jokic, averaged 10.4 points, 7.7 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 18.8 minutes across 81 games last season.
