Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayJohnny Nelson believes Fabio Wardley still has significant room to improve despite his recent defeat to Daniel Dubois, and says he was not surprised to see the Ipswich heavyweight activate his rematch clause.
“There’s no way on earth he’s going to say, ‘I don’t want to do it again.’ No way on earth. So he’s got to tweak it. He goes in there now as the underdog, but still people will have faith in him,” Nelson said on Boxing King Media’s podcast.
“I actually think Fabio still has room for improvement, but Daniel doesn’t. Daniel has room for growth, mature growth and understanding, experience. Fabio has more room for improvement.”
“The mindset of Fabio is to say I want to get back in with you again now next. I commend him. I commend him.”
Nelson also felt too much attention had gone toward Wardley’s performance and not enough toward Dubois following his victory.
“I do feel for Daniel because all we’re talking about is Fabio. We’re talking about how brilliant he did, how courageous he was, but we’re forgetting about Daniel Dubois and what he achieved.”
“I’m so happy for Don Charles. I’m so happy for Don. Daniel showed a maturity to shut everybody up.”
“He fought with spirit, heart, and something most people will never even dream of,” Nelson said.
Wardley’s decision to trigger the rematch clause came shortly after his loss to Dubois, with some fans questioning whether he would go straight back into another fight after taking heavy punishment.
