Jens Walvoort will not return to action this season. The SB KTM rider has suffered another setback with his thumb following the injury he sustained during the race in the Czech Republic and has decided to sit out the remainder of the season.

Walvoort said he had hoped to share an update sooner, but the latest setback was difficult to process. The injury means he will not line up behind the starting gate again this year.

“This is not how I wanted my season to end, but sometimes these setbacks are simply beyond your control,” said Walvoort. “A huge thank you to everyone who has supported me throughout the season.”

Walvoort will now focus entirely on his recovery as he prepares to make his return next season.
