After Yankees infielder Jazz Chisholm appeared on “The Tonight Show” with Jimmy Fallon on Monday, Cleveland radio play-by-play man Tom Hamilton had some jokes after the star second baseman said “for sure” that the Bronx Bombers would win the 2026 World Series.
“Well, he predicted that the Yankees would win the World Series,” Hamilton said during the team’s 9-4 win over the Yankees.

Hamilton, who has been the voice of the Guardians since 1990, really let loose from there.
“He said that last night on the Jimmy Fallon Show,” Hamilton quipped.

Chisholm went 1-for-4 with two strikeouts and a run scored in the opener of a three-game set Tuesday.
Fallon asked the Yankees’ soon-to-be free agent Monday what the team’s ultimate goal was this season.
“I mean, to win a World Series. We’re in New York! Come on, bud,” Chisholm joked.
Fallon replied if they’re actually going to do it this season, to which Chisholm replied, “Oh, for sure. We’re gonna do it. For sure.”
Chisholm has had a disappointing season to date, posting a .696 OPS with six home runs, 20 RBIs and 14 stolen bases.
A free agent this offseason, Chisholm is no stranger to bold predictions no matter how unlikely.
He predicted that he would hit 50 home runs and steal 50 bases this season during spring training, a feat that had only been accomplished one other time by four-time MVP Shohei Ohtani.

Chisholm is currently on pace for just 16 home runs this season.
