There has been a fresh update on Everton's pursuit of West Ham United star Jarrod Bowen, who has now held direct talks with David Moyes.

Following West Ham's relegation from the Premier League, Bowen's future at the London Stadium is very much up in the air, but the forward has hinted he could be willing to stay and play a role in a promotion push next season.

The captain said: "Talking about futures is disrespectful to the club, the fans, everything like that. This club deserves to be in the Premier League. Our aim now is to get this club back into the Premier League.

"It's disrespectful to everyone to start talking about that. I want this club to be in the Premier League. It's a club that means so much to me and has given me so much so my vision is to get this club back in the Premier League."

The 29-year-old has a big decision to make, as his international career has been affected by the Hammers' dismal campaign, failing to make it into Thomas Tuchel's World Cup squad despite amassing 20 Premier League goal involvements last term.

The Toffees recently set their sights on the West Ham star, and a further update has indicated they could be well-placed to get a deal done.

Signing a proven Premier League forward would be ideal for Everton, off the back of a mixed 2025-26 campaign. Thierno Barry was unable to make an instant impact in England, netting just eight goals in all competitions, whereas Beto only found the net on two more occasions.
West Ham aren't in a position to play hardball, following relegation to the Championship, but there have been suggestions they could look to hold out for £50m. As such, the Englishman could be the most expensive signing in the Toffees' history, and there may have to be some departures to fund the move. Cashing-in on Iliman Ndiaye could be an option, with Manchester United identifying Moyes' talisman as a top target.
Everton have aspirations of qualifying for Europe and winning a major trophy, which means the former Hull City man could be the ideal addition to Moyes' squad. He netted West Ham's winner in the 2023 Europa Conference League final, while also amassing a total of 85 goals and 63 assists in 280 outings for the club.
West Ham will no doubt be looking to secure a return to the Premier League at the first attempt, which means losing Bowen could be a major blow. However, the Leominster-born forward's vast top flight experience means he could be the ideal replacement for Ndiaye, with both players comfortable playing on either flank.

According to a report from TEAMtalk, Bowen has now held direct talks with Moyes regarding a move to the Hill Dickinson Stadium, and he has informed the Scot he would seriously consider joining, should the Toffees lodge an approach.

Everton are firmly in the race, given that Moyes is a huge admirer.

With a deal for the West Ham skipper likely to be costly, it could make sense to sell Ndiaye to fund the move, and there is no shortage of interest, as Manchester City are now keen on the Senegal star.

Amid rival interest from Manchester United, a price tag of £69m was touted, and should Everton be able to command a fee in that ballpark, a deal for Bowen would seemingly be affordable.

Ndiaye chipped in with six goals and three assists in the Premier League last season, compared to a very impressive tally of nine goals and 11 assists from Bowen.
