Jake Paul seemed to shut the door on potentially running it back with the first boxer to beat him, Tommy Fury, after Fury’s viral incident.
Jake Paul suffered the second boxing loss of his polarizing career last year against former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua. Paul hasn’t fought since the TKO loss to Joshua, and his boxing future remains cloudy as 2027 approaches.
Several potential opponents have been floated around in recent months for Paul’s next fight, including a rematch with former rival Tommy Fury. Fury defeated Paul in their 2023 grudge match by split decision to hand Paul his first loss in the ring.
Three years after their fight, tensions remain high between Paul and Fury as rematch talks ramp up. But after Fury was recently kicked out of a haunted house in a viral clip showing the inebriated boxer’s bizarre behavior, Paul seemed to shut the door on that possibility.
Jake Paul, Tommy Fury trade online jabs as rematch talks reignite
In a recent tweet, Paul reignited his feud with Fury.
“Molly-Mae runs a business, raises the kids, and pays the bills. Tommy’s job was to not get kicked out of a haunted house. Couldn’t do it,” Paul said of Fury.
It didn’t take long for Fury to respond as he called for a rematch with his former foe in a fiery response.
“Well well well. Look who can’t keep my name out of their mouth. I’ll see you very soon buddy. Time to break the other side of your jaw. You fat tattooed prick,” Fury replied to Paul.
Despite Fury’s callout, Paul seemed to shut the door on potentially avenging his first boxing defeat.
“Never happening. Ship has sailed. You are daddy’s little girl who kisses boys instead of taking care of your own girls and kids,” Paul said.
Fury hasn’t competed since defeating Kenan Hanjalic by unanimous decision in May 2025.
