Jake Paul isn’t thrilled about Scott Coker’s $60 million investment to launch a new Mixed Martial Arts promotion in 2027.

Jake Paul wants to continue to press the UFC after Most Valuable Promotions’ first Mixed Martial Arts event last weekend in Los Angeles. UFC Hall of Famer Ronda Rousey submitted Gina Carano in just 17 seconds after a highlight-reel night to earn her first MMA win in 11 years.

MVP and Paul don’t plan on slowing down in their latest combat sports venture anytime soon. To go along with MVP MMA’s plans, one of the most important figures in the sport will return to promoting with a new league next year.

Former Bellator head Scott Coker announced a $60 million investment from professional skateboarder Tony Hawk and others to launch a new MMA promotion in 2027. After the Professional Fighters League purchased Bellator in 2024, Coker was relieved from his position after a long tenure as the head executive of Bellator and Strikeforce.

Despite the excitement surrounding Coker’s return to MMA, Paul believes the juice won’t be worth the lucrative squeeze.

Jake Paul shares cold-blooded reaction to Scott Coker’s return to MMA

In a recent tweet, Paul questioned Coker’s eight-figure investment in returning to MMA promoting.

“Need to see the investors backing this and let them know that they gonna lose all their money. I feel like Superman trying to help them,” Paul said of Coker.

“Wow Jake such a good guy.”

Paul and Coker were briefly linked to a potential MMA partnership in 2022, after the then-Bellator head teased potentially signing the polarizing combat sports star to a contract. Paul went on to sign with the Professional Fighters League, but parted ways with the league earlier this year and never made an appearance in the cage.

Coker’s new promotional brand name and other details are yet to be announced, but Paul isn’t expecting much of a threat to MVP MMA from the longtime executive.
