Jake Paul is taking aim at UFC for announcing Conor McGregor’s return during the MVP MMA 1 event.

Paul and Most Valuable Promotions CEO Nakisa Bidarian held their first MMA event this past Saturday. The show featured the likes of Mike Perry, who scored a big TKO finish over Stockton legend Nate Diaz. The headliner saw Ronda Rousey earn a 17-second submission victory in her comeback fight against Gina Carano.

Former UFC Heavyweight Champion Francis Ngannou was also showcased on the card, scoring a first-round knockout win over Philipe Lins. During Ngannou’s walkout, UFC dropped a bombshell announcement for International Fight Week. The promotion revealed that McGregor will be returning to the Octagon to face Max Holloway at UFC 329 on July 11.

During the MVP MMA post-fight press conference, Paul was asked about the timing of UFC’s unveiling. “The Problem Child” didn’t mince words in his response.

“Oh, the cokehead is back,” Paul said. “Yeah, that’s cool, bro. Drop it during our event. It doesn’t matter. That just shows how pressed they are. Little insecure boys trying to piggyback off of our event and try to put some news over top of us. It’s not going to work, buddy.”

Paul has been critical of UFC’s fighter pay structure over the past few years. He doesn’t believe fighters are getting a fair share of the revenue. Paul and UFC CEO Dana White have exchanged words in the past and the beef doesn’t appear to have an end in sight.

MVP is planning to continue running MMA shows. The promotion has made its mark in the world of boxing and considers the Rousey vs. Carano event a successful first step in the world of MMA.
