Isaiah Hartenstein has been ruled out of Germany’s upcoming games after suffering an ankle injury.
The German Basketball Federation confirmed that Hartenstein will not play this summer following discussions with the Oklahoma City Thunder.
All sides agreed that returning to action could risk worsening the injury.
The 2.13-meter center had recently returned to Germany’s senior national team for the first time since February 2018.
Despite being unavailable to play, Hartenstein will remain with the national team in Hamburg, allowing him to spend time with his teammates and coaching staff.
The 2025 NBA champion will also accompany Germany during the Turkish Airlines Supercup in Hamburg on August 21 and 22, but he will not participate in either game.
