BALTIMORE — Heliot Ramos was aware of the expectations he faced when he was traded to the Yankees prior to the Aug. 3 deadline from the only organization he’d ever known after being drafted by the Giants in 2017. 

“I wanted to produce, and I wanted to be hot as soon as I got here,’’ Ramos said prior to hitting third in the lineup against the Orioles on Thursday at Camden Yards. “I’ve been trying my best.” 

But the outfielder’s numbers are among the worst in the game since getting to the Yankees, something he’s aware of. 

As manager Aaron Boone has noted, Ramos has hit into some bad luck.
