Liverpool have limped over the finish line and will play Champions League football next season, with most supporters at Anfield just relieved to see the back of this campaign.
Though last year's Premier League champions have avoided catastrophic damage, there's no question that Arne Slot has a lot to figure out over the summer months - should FSG decide to hand the Dutchman a reprieve and allow him to lead Liverpool out for the 2026/27 season.
Many fans would hope to see a change in the dugout, but it doesn't look like that will be the case, even after such a woeful, out-of-sorts campaign.

Liverpool finished on 60 points. That's the lowest total a Premier League team has ever claimed to secure passage into the Champions League. A quarter of those points came across the Reds' first five fixtures, that frenetic winning run.
Too many players have flattered to deceive, with changes now certainly afoot ahead of the transfer window.
Who is leaving Liverpool this summer
To watch Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson bow out together is as poignant as it gets. The duo came and saw and conquered, cementing themselves as Liverpool legends
However, other members of Slot's squad need to be shown the exit. Joe Gomez and Curtis Jones have been at the club for many years, but as rumours simmer regarding their respective futures, it could be the right time for FSG to make a few changes.
It's also worth drawing attention to Ibrahima Konate, whose contract situation is still unresolved. His current deal expires in one month.
Liverpool have had a tough year, and let's hope that a reset over the summer could help bring the good times back at Anfield.
But some concessions need to be made; not everyone can stick around. On that note, there's another mainstay over the past several years who surely now needs to be sold.
Liverpool's new Nunez needs to be sold
Darwin Nunez was a popular figure at Liverpool, popping up with some big moments during his three-year stay. But last summer, it was surely the right time for the wasteful striker to take his leave.
Now, the same could be said for Alexis Mac Allister, who has been right at the rotten core of Liverpool's disastrous season, unable to produce even the vestiges of his former world-class level, first under Jurgen Klopp and then for Slot, who trusted him as his midfield lieutenant, guiding the Reds to the Premier League title.
There is surely no way back for Mac Allister, a player who has given so much to Liverpool but has maybe expended the quality and robustness needed to thrive at the heart of the beating Anfield pitch.

If Slot is going to remain at the helm, there is absolutely no way Mac Allister can continue, too much of a weak link. His retroregression in midfield has been dumbfounding. Where has the robust Argentinian to dictated and controlled disappeared to? What has happened? The physical decline has effectively negated him as a source of creativity and combativeness.
Adored by the Liverpool masses, he has sadly fallen into Nunez territory this season: clearly unfit for purpose at the centre of this project, and with little evidence across the duration of an entire year to suggest that he has the means to turn it around.
Liverpool have fallen by the wayside this season, but they can pick themselves up ahead of the new term, for sure.
However, Mac Allister needs to be sold, a new all-action midfielder brought in. FSG have hoped to transfer list him at £80m, but on the basis on the evidence, interested parties would baulk at such extortionate demands.
