The Atlanta Hawks announced Peter Dinwiddie has been promoted to executive vice president of basketball operations. The Hawks also officially announced Tim Bontemps as strategic advisor and elevated Maxwell Kupchak to director of cap strategy and player personnel.

Dinwiddie joined the Hawks prior to last season as senior vice president of strategy and analytics after spending five years with the Philadelphia 76ers as their executive vice president of basketball operations. Before Philadelphia, he spent 14 seasons with the Indiana Pacers, beginning in 2006 in the inside sales department before transitioning into basketball operations, where he held roles including director of basketball administration, vice president of basketball operations and senior vice president of basketball operations.

Bontemps joins Atlanta's front office after more than eight years covering the NBA for ESPN, where he co-hosted The Hoop Collective podcast and covered team strategy, player movement and league trends. Prior to ESPN, he worked at The Washington Post from 2015 to 2018 and the New York Post from 2007 to 2015.

Kupchak, previously the team's coordinator of cap strategy and player personnel, is entering his fourth season with the Hawks organization. He spent four seasons in the Charlotte Hornets' front office prior to joining Atlanta, beginning as a video room operations assistant before advancing to front office basketball assistant and later manager of basketball operations and scouts.
