The San Francisco Giants found the most unreal way to win a baseball game against the Philadelphia Phillies on Tuesday night.

Patrick Bailey launched a pitch from Jordan Romano to right center field that caromed off the wall and trickled past CF Brandon Marsh as Casey Schmitt and Brett Wisely scored, but Bailey saw an opportunity for an inside-the-park home run and kept running for the Giants' 4-3 victory over the Phillies at Oracle Park.

According to ESPN's Jeff Passan, citing Baseball Reference, Bailey's home run from a catcher is the first since Bennie Tate on Aug. 11, 1926.

What makes Bailey's smasher off the wall so unreal is that he's been struggling this season, but came through at the right opportunity after grounding into a double play and striking out earlier in the game. But he did have a base hit that included the round-tripper for the game winner, giving the Giants their fourth straight win and trailing the Los Angeles Dodgers by five games in the National League West.

Bailey is now batting .194. Maybe his historic feat will get him going for the rest of the season. It was needed against the Phillies, where things did not look good trailing 3-1 in the bottom of the ninth inning, but the ball bouncing off the wall and his speed made up for the struggling catcher.

The Giants have won 20 games by one run this season, and they will look for the series sweep on Wednesday afternoon.
