The Boston Celtics continue to be mentioned as a potential dark-horse destination in the Giannis Antetokounmpo sweepstakes, with league observers keeping an eye on whether the franchise revisits trade discussions with Milwaukee.

Boston reportedly explored the possibility of acquiring Antetokounmpo before last season’s trade deadline and could again evaluate such a move this summer if the Bucks decide to consider offers for their superstar.

From Antetokounmpo’s perspective, the Celtics are believed to be an appealing option. Reports have indicated that the two-time MVP is intrigued by the possibility of joining Boston, a team that has remained among the Eastern Conference contenders in recent years.

Any potential deal would likely require the Celtics to part with Jaylen Brown, potentially as part of a larger multi-team trade structure.

Such a scenario could allow Milwaukee to receive a combination of young players, draft assets and additional compensation while helping Boston preserve some of its roster depth.

Antetokounmpo has also publicly expressed admiration for Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla in the past, while Boston’s front office recently acknowledged the need to improve its interior scoring and rim pressure moving forward.
