Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayFloyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao have reportedly agreed to terms for a professional rematch on Netflix, with the fight now planned for September 25 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
The update came Friday from Mike Coppinger, who cited Manny Pacquiao Promotions CEO Jas Mathur after days of growing discussion about the return fight.
“Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao have agreed to terms on an amended deal for a professional fight on Netflix being planned for Sept. 25 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas,” said Mike Coppinger on his X account today.
The revised plan reportedly moves the event away from The Sphere, which had previously been discussed as the targeted venue. The fight is now expected to land at T-Mobile Arena instead after changes to the financial structure of the event.
Thursday’s report from Lance Pugmire said the rematch was being targeted for September 26, but Coppinger’s update pushed the date forward one day while also adding that the deal itself had been amended and agreed upon.
The fight would mark the second professional meeting between Mayweather and Pacquiao, more than a decade after their 2015 pay-per-view event, which became one of the biggest financial fights in boxing history.
Netflix’s involvement continues the platform’s growing push into live combat sports after its recent entry into major boxing events. The rematch is expected to become one of the streamer’s biggest boxing attractions if the deal is finalized officially in the coming weeks.
Pacquiao returned to professional boxing earlier this year after spending time competing in exhibitions, while Mayweather has continued taking part in high-profile exhibition events around the world.
Even without world titles involved, the rematch still carries major commercial value because of the history between the two fighters and the lingering disappointment many fans had with their first meeting in 2015.
