Robbie is the Assistant Editor at Football FanCast.
Having graduated from the University of Exeter in 2020, Robbie spent time working as an intern or in freelance positions across a variety of sites, including at 90min, producing news and feature content related to clubs in the Premier League, EFL, SPFL and in Europe.
Robbie subsequently spent over a year working as a news, features and opinion writer at Football Faithful, primarily focused on the Premier League and Manchester United, in particular.
After beginning life at Football FanCast as part of the company's academy set-up in 2022, Robbie has risen through the ranks to now taking on the role of Assistant Editor since October 2023, having also been part of the Exclusives team in the past.
Across the last few years, Robbie has covered Manchester United, Celtic and Rangers on a regular basis, alongside a raft of other clubs, boasting an in-depth knowledge of the Premier League, EFL and Scottish football in general.
Robbie is a Manchester United fan, but also has a particular fondness for both Celtic and Wycombe Wanderers, taking in a multitude of home and away games for the Chairboys over the last two decades.
Brazil have woken up at this summer's World Cup, and that's largely thanks to Manchester United's Matheus Cunha, the 27-year-old stealing the show in the recent 3-0 win over Haiti.
The former Wolverhampton Wanderers man bundled home for the opener, before adding a second in a manner that United supporters have become familiar with of late, rifling the ball into the roof of the net in exquisite style.
His trademark surfing celebration ensued, with the £62.5m signing picking up where he left off last season at club level, after racking up a creditable haul of ten Premier League goals following his arrival in Manchester.
An increasingly influential figure under Michael Carrick as the campaign progressed, Cunha may well feel he has that left-wing berth sewn up heading into next term, although one potential arrival could suggest otherwise.
Man Utd "keep calling" over deal to sign £50m star
Midfield aside, among the priorities for new boss Carrick might well be that left flank, with it yet to be determined where Patrick Dorgu's long-term future lies positionally at Old Trafford.
There has also been talk that a return for Marcus Rashford could be on the cards, after Barcelona failed to exercise their option to buy the Englishman, despite the 28-year-old enjoying a strong season on loan at Camp Nou.
The topic of reintegrating Rashford may well be a pressing one amid his own World Cup form, the exiled United forward netting the clincher in England's thumping win over Croatia earlier this week.
He isn't alone in having caught the eye for his country, however, with the Red Devils also still working to sign Netherlands star, Crysencio Summerville, as revealed by Fabrizio Romano.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Romano revealed that INEOS "keep asking" about a potential move for the West Ham United man, seemingly engaging in constant calls alongside their approach for Mateus Fernandes.
Those talks appear to have ramped up over "recent days and weeks", although it is yet to be seen if the Old Trafford side will fork out to meet the 24-year-old's reported £50m price tag.
Why Summerville signing could be bad news for Cunha
The recruitment set-up has come in for so much criticism at Man United for over a decade now, with even INEOS' first summer at the helm going awry, as Manuel Ugarte and Joshua Zirkzee already looked destined to depart, while Leny Yoro and Matthijs de Ligt have been hamstrung by injury.
And yet, looking to the positives, 2025 marked a sizeable improvement in that regard, with Senne Lammens shining in the sticks, as United's trio of attacking signings all reached double figures for league goals.
That marked the first time since Arsenal back in 2012/13 that three new signings have achieved that feat, with Cunha particularly growing into the role after an initial muted start at the club.
Carrick hasn't been afraid to leave him out on occasion, however, as he did in his first two games in charge against Arsenal and Manchester City, having favoured the pace and power of Dorgu for those high-profile meetings.
That is something which Summerville could provide in abundance, the fleet-footed speedster likely to offer a direct threat to Cunha's starting role on the left.
Comfortable on either flank, the former Leeds United man did actually score from the right in Holland's 2-2 draw with Japan last week, bending the ball into the far corner on his supposedly weaker left foot.
It is on the opposite side where his best work in a West Ham shirt has come to date, however, netting five league goals in 2026, as well as two FA Cup strikes.
A man with a penchant for the spectacular, just like Cunha, Summerville also mirrors the Brazilian with regard to his ball-carrying prowess, posing such a threat to opposition full-backs.
Indeed, in the Premier League in 2025/26, he averaged 1.6 successful dribbles per game, while ranking ninth in the league in that regard for total successful dribbles.

Cunha, for comparison, finished 13th for that same metric, having averaged just 1.3 per game.
United's number ten was comfortably clear in terms of goals, although both men chipped in with two assists and created four 'big chances', suggesting the difference in level isn't too significant.
Summerville may not then be an upgrade on Cunha, but he'd certainly represent a genuine competitor on that left-hand side, particularly due to his status as a more natural orthodox winger than the South American.
Forget Sesko: Man Utd line up move to sign "one of the best CFs in Europe"
Benjamin Sesko could be facing a threat to his hopes of being Man Utd's starting striker.
