The 28-year-old full-back enjoyed a stellar 2025/26 campaign in Spain, playing a starring role in La Liga and helping Rayo Vallecano reach the UEFA Conference League final.

His consistent tactical discipline and athletic presence on the flank made him a prime target for the Blues as they sought reinforcement on the left side of their defence.
