“Listen, Article 13 Section 1 says if you identify as a woman, then you are allowed to play! I identify as a woman, so yes, I can play!” Freedom said.
The former NBA center maintained that he would accept any future change to the league’s eligibility requirements but believes the existing rules support his position.
“Why not? If they ever come out and say they’re changing the rules, I’ll say ‘I respect your decision, I will follow the rules.’ Right now if you identify as a woman, you are allowed to play. I’m identifying as a woman and I am actually allowed to play.”
