Eli Tomac has shared a positive update on social media regarding the injury he suffered after his crash during last weekend’s race in Salt Lake City.

The American Red Bull KTM rider crashed heavily and once again took a hard hit to his hip. Fortunately, despite the heavy impact, nothing appears to be broken.

Tomac explained that he hit his hip hard against the bike and footpeg, causing severe bruising and muscle tightness. According to him, it is almost the same injury he suffered earlier in Cleveland, only this time on the opposite side of his body.

Eli Tomac:

“When I think back to yesterday’s crash, I just shake my head, but yeah… it’s Supercross and these things simply happen. I hit my hip hard against the bike and the footpeg. Nothing is broken, but the muscles took a big hit and completely tightened up again. Almost exactly the same injury as in Cleveland, just on the other side.

The season had plenty of ups and downs, but the highs were higher than the lows. I’m really looking forward to getting back outdoors racing with my KTM.”
