Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayConor McGregor’s former rival Eddie Alvarez has given his thoughts on the Irishman’s return to the cage at UFC 329.
As we know, Conor McGregor will make his return to the cage at UFC 329 when he squares off against Max Holloway for the second time. It comes over a decade after the two first met, and on that occasion, Conor was able to fight through an injury and pick up the win over a young and inexperienced Holloway.

Now, though, both men are in very different positions, and with McGregor having taken five years off after breaking his leg, ‘Blessed’ is widely considered to be the clear favorite here.
Eddie Alvarez, who fought and lost to McGregor almost a decade ago, had the following to say about his return in a recent interview.
Alvarez’s view on McGregor’s comeback
“I don’t like people taking off this sport. I think it’s dangerous when you put this sport down,” Alvarez told MMA Junkie. “It’s not something you can put down and pick up. It’s too dangerous, and when you’re fighting, I often compare it to someone who is getting ready for a movie role. You have to become the character. And once you’re in character then you go put on a good performance.
“But it takes a while to become that ruthless dog that you need to be in order to go in there and fight viciously the way we do. And you can’t just put it down and pick it up whenever you want. It takes a while to get into it.
“Conor has an obsessiveness about him that he can make up for years of not training in a short period of time that other guys don’t have,” Alvarez said. “If anybody is able to come do this, it’ll be him. But it definitely to me would be one of the best comeback stories we’ve ever seen in the sport.”
