Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayIt's been a busy summer for those of an Arsenal persuasion, and Mikel Arteta might not be done yet.
Having tidied up the midfield with astute signings like Martin Zubimendi and Christian Norgaard, the interminable chase for a high-level centre-forward ended with the acquisition of Viktor Gyokeres, who left Sporting Lisbon to join the Emirates side in a £64m package in July.
Having finished second in the Premier League for three successive years, the Gunners entered the off-season aware that the upcoming campaign must be one of trophy-winning success. It's been five years.
And while the set is almost complete, Arteta and technical director Andrea Berta feel that one more signing could be on the cards.
Arsenal lining up another signing
The name on everyone's lips belongs to Eberechi Eze. The Crystal Palace maverick is the subject of talks between the clubs that could lead to his return to north London, once a member of the Hale End academy.

A formal proposal is forthcoming, but if Arsenal fail to get the deal over the line, they may well revisit interest in a transfer target who has also been at the centre of a summer bid.
Indeed, according to Spanish outlet Sport, Arsenal joined Chelsea in making an approach for Barcelona star Fermin Lopez earlier in the transfer market, with La Blaugrana tentatively willing to let their homegrown talent leave.

Well, Manchester United are the latest club to register their interest and are preparing a bid worth €70m (about £61m), so Arsenal will need to sort out the Eze saga quickly, lest they end up missing out on both attacking midfielders.
Why Arsenal want Fermin Lopez
As Leandro Trossard's future continues to edge further and further away from the Arsenal fold, the need for a new left-sided forward is underlined.
The 22-year-old has only featured 88 times for Barcelona's senior set-up, but he's scored 19 goals and supplied 11 assists already, earning his first two caps for the Spanish national team too.
A ball-focused playmaker, he's typically found in a central midfield berth, but has been placed out on the left flank on numerous occasions and, therefore, could work very well as a positional alternative to Eze.
Fermin might not be as athletically flashy as Eze, but he's got the skill set to succeed at Arsenal, supplying Gyokeres with a steady stream of support.

Sure, Eze is faster, more dynamic when driving forward and more of a "magician" to look at, as The Telegraph's Sam Dean says.
However, having created eight big chances from just 12 starting appearances in La Liga last season, as per Sofascore, the young Spaniard has demonstrated himself to possess the technical quality to make waves in Arteta's Arsenal squad.
He has, after all, been described by talent scout Jacek Kulig as being "simple and genius at the same time".
Arsenal have put their focus and attention on signing Eze for some time now, but in Fermin, they might just land the perfect alternative, one who could still accommodate Gyokeres' needs as Arteta's new offensive talisman.
