Photo: adidasDonovan Mitchell reiterated his commitment to the Cleveland Cavaliers following the team’s Eastern Conference Finals sweep against the New York Knicks, making it clear he wants to remain in Cleveland long term.

Mitchell becomes eligible for a contract extension on July 7, giving the Cavaliers a major offseason decision as they look to keep their core intact after a disappointing playoff ending.
James Harden also expressed his desire to stay with Cleveland after the series loss, saying he “100 percent” wants to return next season.
He holds a $42.3 million player option for next year, though both sides are expected to discuss a new contract during the offseason.
Harden struggled in the elimination game, finishing with 12 points and four rebounds in Game 4 as the Cavaliers were swept out of the playoffs by New York.
