PHILADELPHIA — Turn away, Yankees and Mets fans. Phillies interim manager Don Mattingly finally winning a World Series would be a fun, fitting twist in an amazing career.

Mattingly, who should be in the Hall of Fame and came within inches of winning the World Series as the Jays bench coach last October, didn’t hesitate when The Post asked which one would mean more to him — the Hall or a title.

“A ring for sure,” Mattingly said. “One hundred percent for me … yeah, the ring.”

Not that we needed confirmation, but Phillies great Larry Bowa, a longtime friend and colleague, said, “I’m sure he’d be happy if he got in the Hall of Fame. But he wants that missing piece. There’s no question that he wants to be part of a championship team.”
