“Jack Catterall,” Haney said on X.

“Good luck against Paro Devin then maybe you can call Jack out for real next time bro,” Jones answered.

“Don’t push horses,” Haney responded.

Devin borrowed the line from Oleksandr Usyk, who used the phrase during a 2025 press conference before his rematch with Daniel Dubois. It is an awkward version of “hold your horses,” telling Jones not to assume the Paro fight is complete.

Jones immediately invited Haney to reopen discussions.

“You just say when young Devin @jack_catt93 is ready,” Jones stated.

Catterall has spent the past several days publicly defending Team Haney. He backed Devin during an online argument with Ryan Garcia, called Garcia a drug cheat and treated Haney as morally undefeated because Garcia tested positive after their 2024 contest.

That vocal support made Catterall look like a loyal and cooperative choice to Devin and Bill Haney. Haney returned the favor by naming him as Britain’s last major attraction.

Jones previously feared Haney was using Catterall to pressure Paro into accepting less money. Catterall later accused Haney of bluffing when Team Haney returned its attention to an IBF and WBO unification.

Paro offers Haney another world title. Catterall brings British interest, a secondary WBA belt and a team that accepted the proposed date, location and terms.

Haney may keep both names available while pursuing the better deal. His latest remark gives Jones a reason to continue campaigning for Catterall.
