Deacon Denno suffered a broken collarbone during the Southwick National, the sixth round of the AMA Pro Motocross Championship. The young Triumph Racing rider crashed heavily in the opening moto, bringing his race day to an early end.
Denno described Southwick as a fantastic circuit but saw his day cut short after the heavy crash in the first moto. Medical examinations later confirmed that he had broken his collarbone. The American will undergo surgery later this week and hopes to make his return to racing as soon as possible.
“Southwick is an awesome track, but unfortunately my race day didn’t last very long. I had a big crash in the first moto, and that was the end of my day. It turns out I broke my collarbone. I’ll have surgery this week, and after that I’ll do everything I can to get back on the bike as soon as possible. Thanks to everyone who reached out with messages and to the team for all their support.”
