Veteran NBA guard D'Angelo Russell has agreed to a contract with the Shanghai Sharks. The deal will see Russell join the Sharks for the upcoming Chinese Basketball Association season.

Russell appeared in 26 games for the Dallas Mavericks last season. The 11-year NBA veteran averaged 10.2 points, 2.3 rebounds and 4.0 assists. Russell was traded in a midseason deal to the Washington Wizards.

This offseason, Washington traded Russell to the Memphis Grizzlies. The Grizzlies waived Russell last week, eating his $5.9 million for this season.
