Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayMonday night was special for Pete Crow-Armstrong for many reasons. Not only did he hit a walk-off two-run home run in the bottom of the 10th inning to beat the crosstown rival White Sox, but the Chicago Cubs' MVP candidate made history in the process.
Pete Crow-Armstrong's walk-off HR gave him consecutive 30/30 seasons
Crow-Armstrong's game-winning blast was his 30th of the season, which put him two shy of setting a new career-high and also awarded him a 30/30 season.
Now with 30 home runs and 31 stolen bases, Crow-Armstrong has accomplished consecutive 30/30 seasons.
He hit 31 homers and swiped 35 bags in 2025, making it likely he ends the season with two new single-season bests. But Crow-Armstrong also achieved history in his overall play in the Cubs' 7-5 win.
Pete Crow-Armstrong made MLB, franchise history as well
The 24-year-old two-time All-Star and former first-round pick was 4-for-5 with two home runs - he also connected on a solo shot in the first inning - three RBI, two runs scored and a walk in the game. His performance included recording 10 total bases for the eighth time in his short career.
Crow-Armstrong's latest monster outing broke a tie with a tie with Hal Trosky for the most games with 10+ total bases before turning 25 since at least 1900, per Sarah Langs. He is now tied with Andre Dawson for the fifth-most in franchise history within the same span.
And with two more, he will tie Billy Williams and Sammy Sosa, who both put up 12 in that timeframe.
In 480 at-bats across 126 games, Crow-Armstrong has 30 home runs, 78 RBI, 89 runs scored, 25 doubles, seven triples and 31 stolen bases so far in 2026. His current slash line is .281/.379/.550.
