The Glasner era is set to come to an end on Wednesday, and the Austrian will be aiming to bow out in glory, with his side set to take on Rayo Vallecano in the UEFA Conference League final in Leipzig.
Speaking ahead of the game, the Palace boss said: "If we win the Conference League, all the players who stay here at the club, the fans, they [will] have the benefit, because they'll play European football again next year. So, everything they do [is] for themselves too, for the club, for the fans, and not for me.
"[Winning this final] would be a perfect ending. When you watch a movie, when you read a book, you always hope that there is a happy ending. To end this more than two-year journey with another trophy, with the first European trophy in Crystal Palace's history, that would be incredible."
Despite announcing his intention to leave way back in January, it remains unclear who will replace the 51-year-old in the Selhurst Park dugout, but a number of targets have been identified.
Crystal Palace going all out to appoint "sensational" manager
There has now been a new update on Crystal Palace's pursuit of Andoni Iraola, with a report from Sport (via Sport Witness) revealing Steve Parish is pushing hard to appoint the Spaniard, who recently took charge of his final match as AFC Bournemouth manager.
In fact, the Eagles have now submitted a 'multi-million pound offer', after making an approach to hire the 43-year-old, who successfully guided the Cherries to the Europa League for the first time in their history.
Palace may have to wrap a deal up quickly though, with twists emerging in the last few days - both Bayer Leverkusen and AC Milan are now keen, and the Italian side are even trying to finalise an agreement this week.
The Palace target took charge of 127 games during his time as Bournemouth boss, averaging 1.43 points per match, slightly less than the 1.58 points per match Glasner has averaged since replacing Roy Hodgson at Selhurst Park.
However, leading Bournemouth to Europe was a major achievement, especially considering his side finished sixth in the Premier League, just three points adrift of Liverpool, who claimed the final Champions League spot.
Journalist Muhammad Butt has also suggested a move to Crystal Palace may be ideal for Iraola at this stage, given that he may not be best-suited to managing one of Europe's top clubs.
