Conor McGregor believes that he is sharper than ever despite what others might think.

It was recently announced by Dana White that McGregor will be making his long-awaited return to the Octagon on July 11. The “Notorious” one is set to headline UFC 329 against Max Holloway to cap off International Fight Week. McGregor and Holloway fought all the way back in 2013, and it was “Mystic Mac” who earned the unanimous decision win.

Things are much different in 2026. McGregor has since become the first fighter to hold UFC gold in two different weight classes simultaneously and had a lucrative boxing match with Floyd Mayweather back in 2017. He also hasn’t competed since breaking his leg against Dustin Poirier in 2021.

Holloway has also reached legendary status as a former UFC Featherweight Champion and an ex-BMF titleholder. “Blessed” has a significant edge when it comes to recent activity inside the Octagon, but McGregor insists he will be giving Holloway the best version of himself.

McGregor expressed optimism in his current condition in a post on his Instagram page.

“Thank you for all the love, support, and encouragement over the last few days, people!

“I am feeling very energised entering intense training camp because of it! I am very grateful for the team I have around me. My coaches and training partners, we are all fully tuned in for the challenge at hand and it is a glorious time in our gym,” McGregor wrote.

The top UFC draw in company history insisted that he’s at his very best ahead of his planned return to prizefighting.

“I am better than ever, and I relish the opportunity to once again show my mastery in martial arts to the world. Lord Jesus in your name, please, to inspire the next generation to come! Amen,” McGregor continued.
