Former UFC double champion Conor McGregor would not hesitate to face the next superstar of Irish MMA, Ian Machado Garry, if the latter becomes the UFC welterweight champion next month.
Top 170-pound contender Garry is going to lock horns with welterweight titleholder Islam Makhachev at UFC 330 on August 15. “The Future” plans to dominate for four rounds and then finish the Russian fighter. He also believes beating Makhachev at UFC 330 will make him the greatest fighter alive on the planet.

The Dubliner has predicted a complete demolition of Holloway come Saturday night, after which he will be open to facing fellow Irishman Garry, with whom he has also trained. During the UFC 329 press conference, “The Notorious” said:
“[If Ian Machado Garry beats Islam Makhachev at UFC 330, I am ready to fight Garry]. No problem. No problemo, as they say in Brazil.”

McGregor has no plans to cut down to 155 pounds to face newly minted champion Justin Gaethje. Instead, he has his crosshairs on the “triple crown” and will seek three-division glory in the UFC if he gets past Max Holloway this weekend.

During the UFC 329 presser, Conor McGregor also wished “The Future” the best for his UFC 330 welterweight title clash against Islam Makhachev. “The Notorious” added:
“The Machado fella, I wish him well. I hope we do it.”
