The Los Angeles Clippers are entering an important offseason with several roster decisions to make, but uncertainty surrounding the ongoing Aspiration investigation continues to hang over the franchise.

As Yossi Gozlan of Third Apron explains, the outcome of the summer could depend largely on how the Clippers choose to manage their finances.

The team has pathways to operate either with salary-cap space or as an over-the-cap team, although the latter scenario is currently viewed as the more realistic option.

Regardless of which route the organization takes, the Clippers are expected to maintain considerable flexibility to pursue upgrades and reshape parts of the roster around their veteran core.

That financial maneuverability could prove valuable as the front office evaluates potential free-agent targets, trades and internal roster decisions.

While the investigation remains a significant storyline, it is not expected to prevent the Clippers from being active during the offseason as they look to strengthen a team that once again fell short of championship expectations.
