Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayOklahoma City Thunder center Chet Holmgren said that he was focused on continuing to improve his game this offseason after struggling in the Western Conference Finals versus the San Antonio Spurs.
"There's no running from improvement," Holmgren said after the Thunder lost Game 7 on Saturday. "I always look at it as no matter what - good, bad, win, loss, whatever it might be - you have to continue to improve. So, that's the mindset."
Holmgren finished Game 7 with four points and four rebounds on 1-2 shooting from the field.
Holmgren scored 71 total points over the seven-game series.
Thunder coach Mark Daigneault said that the box score didn't represent Holmgren's impact in Game 7.
"That's not all on him," Daigneault said. "I actually thought he played his minutes pretty well. You know, I thought that run at the end of the second quarter that got us back going and cut into the (lead), I mean, he was a huge part of that in ways that may not be in the box score visibly."
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander also defended Holmgren, saying that the team needed him moving forward.
Holmgren will begin his five-year, $239 million contract starting next season.
