Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayCason Wallace and the Oklahoma City Thunder have agreed to a five-year, $139 million contract extension. Wallace would have become a restricted free agent in 2027 if he were unable to agree to terms with the Thunder.
Wallace joins Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jalen Williams and Chet Holmgren on long-term contracts with the Thunder.
Wallace appeared in 77 games last season, averaging 8.6 points, 3.1 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.9 steals for the Thunder while also making Second Team All-Defense.
There were previously reports of Wallace and the Thunder discussing a deal with an annual average value of $25 million, but this deal is for nearly $28 million annually on average.
The Thunder traded away Lu Dort, Isaiah Joe and Aaron Wiggins this offseason in preparation of their growing payroll.
