Tickets for Canelo Alvarez’s October 31 challenge against Christian Mbilli are now on sale, giving fans a month to arrange a trip to Riyadh. The ticket launch answers one question about the event. The announcement still leaves buyers without an undercard or ticket prices to judge what the night offers beyond its main attraction.

Turki Alalshikh announced the sale Tuesday for the “Mexico vs. The World” event at The Venue, part of Riyadh Season. Mbilli will defend his WBC super middleweight title, with DAZN carrying the fight on pay per view. Tickets are available through WeBook.

For fans traveling from Mexico or the United States, this is more than a decision about buying a seat. Flights, hotels and time away from work make it an expensive commitment. A late September launch for an October 31 fight leaves a tight window to compare those costs and make arrangements.

Canelo remains the selling point, but his name should not excuse leaving the rest of the card out of the announcement. Fans being asked to commit to an overseas trip deserve enough information to assess the whole event. The main fight may persuade them to go; a strong supporting lineup would give them another reason.

The sporting attraction is clear. Canelo returns for his first fight since losing to Terence Crawford in September 2025, seeking to reclaim a championship he previously held. Mbilli gets the biggest opponent of his career and an opportunity to establish himself beyond the status that comes with holding a belt.

That makes this an interesting test of Canelo’s remaining pull. He is returning from defeat, challenging an unbeaten champion and fighting far from the Mexican crowd that has been central to his career.

Opening ticket sales moves the event forward. Now the organizers need to fill in the remaining details so fans can decide whether this particular Canelo fight warrants the journey.
