Brandon Miller and the Charlotte Hornets could agree to an extension that exceed the five-year, $208 million contract Amen Thompson signed with the Houston Rockets. Miller's deal could be higher than Thompson's given his higher offensive ceiling.

Miller was the second overall pick in the 2023 NBA draft out of Alabama behind Victor Wembanyama and ahead of Scoot Henderson, Amen Thompson and Ausar Thompson.

Miller appeared in 65 games last season, averaging 20.2 points, 4.9 rebounds and 3.3 assists in 30.3 minutes. Miller figures to take on an even bigger role in the Hornets' offseason following the trades of LaMelo Ball and Miles Bridges.

Miller is represented by Gregory Genske, Edward Kim and Alan Vaynerchuck.
