Orgo-Life the new way to the future

Toronto Blue Jays premier utility infielder Ernie Clement has been raking with enhanced power this season. Clement is not normally known for hitting for power consistently, but so far this season, it's been a different story.

He's now hit five home runs across 54 games, and last season he hit nine across 157 games. This insinuates that this could be the best offensive performance of his career if he continues at the pace he's going.

Clement hit his fifth home run of the season against Sandy Alcantara and is now tied for second on the team.

At 3.76 feet, Clement hit the highest pitch by a Blue Jay for a home run this season. It was also the highest pitch he has allowed a home run on in his career.

Ernie Clement gaining momentum with his offensive surge

With the way Clement has been hitting, it doesn't justify him batting sixth in the lineup. Putting him in the cleanup spot wouldn't be a bad idea. The Blue Jays have continuously adjusted the batting order, and we've even seen Clement hit in the leadoff spot.

He leads the team in batting average (.302), hits (62), doubles (17), slugging percentage (.459) and OPS (.786). Clement is also riding a nine-game hitting streak, demonstrating his consistency at the plate.

Last season, Clement hit a career-high in doubles (35), which tied him for 12th in MLB. But his postseason performance is what made him a class act, as he set an MLB record for the most base hits in a postseason (30 hits).

It comes as no surprise that he's hitting the ball well with enhanced power this season. Winning over Blue Jays fans has easily made him a fan favorite.

As the unsung hero of the Blue Jays, we have seen how Clement can effortlessly bat the ball on several different types of pitches due to his elite hand-eye coordination.

He ranks in the 96th percentile with a 36.1% squared-up rate as well as a 13.7% whiff rate. In addition, he's boasting a 8.5 % strikeout rate sitting in the 99th percentile. Overall, he's established solid plate discipline, which has contributed to his stellar offensive output.
